Actually Colton, Lil was a favorite of mine in the beginning. Not sure what happened to her though, she just couldnt get it together. Believe me, I would rather Lil had stayed then have to listen to Allison for one more second...

ok Danny Gokey fan or not, this baby is adorable! Pay particular attention to when you can hear DG singing "Endless Love" and the baby puts his head down. So cute.

I liked Lil a lot at the beginning too. She was actually one of my favorites. But the last 5 weeks had me wondering about that, because her performances really went down hill.
I don't like Gokey. I did up until about Hollywood week. But he creeps me out now.
I'm not a big fan of Adam, but he puts a lot of effort into his performances. He seems to really appreciate the art and I like that.
I don't care for Kris. I neither like him nor hate him. He just seems really boring to me.
I know a lot of people hate Allison, but I thought she was quite good. I didn't see last week's show yet and the week before that she was kind of meh, but before that I thought she was doing really well.
This time in the season I start to get bored though. I'm ready for it to end because it means BB is around the corner!

What about Matt? I'm just asking because you mentioned everyone but him. I agree with the season gets boring now, although I thought it was mostly boring throughout as Adam won AI several weeks ago.

Doh! I knew I missed someone!
I like Matt, but I think he hasn't figured out what works for him yet. I don't think he was ready to be on the show.
I think he's got talent, drive and desire, but he seemed to have spent most of the season grasping around for a persona that clicks. I'm glad he's still there and I think he was light years ahead of Anoop. I think he has potential, but hasn't found his groove yet.

lol @ Doh! I always loved that! E? can we get a "Doh!" emoticon? lol
Anyway, I agree with what you say about Matt, I think he has alot of potential too and I hope he finds his way. Lightyears ahead of Anoop? Absolutely, I think it would have been a shame if he had left before Anoop and matter of fact, he almost did if not for the Golden Power of Veto...lol.

Tuesday night means American Idol night....I've grown to hate Tuesdays. So tonight we are down to the final 5 and the theme is Songs that the original Rat Pack made famous. I googled Rat Pack. songs and here are some of the more famous songs they sang: "New York, New York" "Mac the Knife" "What Kind of Fool Am I?" (I am betting Paula asks herself that plenty) "My Way" "Thats Amore" "Luck be a Lady" (hmmmm Allison should sing that one) and "Strangers in the Night" just to name a few. I have the song spoilers that the hopefuls will sing tonight, they are: (in case you havent watched yet, I made it a spoiler)
Spoiler:
Kris Allen - The Way You Look Tonight - Allison Iraheta - Someone to Watch Over Me Matt Giraud - My Funny Valentine Danny Gokey - Come Rain Come Shine Adam Lambert - Feeling Good (
I also heard that Jamie Foxx is tonights mentor . Not sure how he relates to the Rat Pack but if Quentin Tarrantino can be a mentor, I think the guy who played Ray Charles and can actually sing, can be mentor. With only 5 singers tonight and an hour long show, we are sure to hear lots and lots and lots of with approximately 15 minutes of actual singing. um..........yay. First thing I noticed is that Adam is wearing an all white suit.... 1 week too late Adam. Yup, Jamie Foxx is mentor.
1. Kris Allen is singing "The Way You Look Tonight" Well after last week this is a bit of a disappointment but not bad. The "boring" factor came back into play for me as bit tonight but there is no denying that this guy is good. Good for Kris because I had him dead in the water weeks ago but he hung in there and he is a contendah!! One of the most UNPIMPED singers on the show who is finally getting some props and quite frankly, he deserves it. hmmmm Simon called it "a little bit wet". thats a new one.
2. Allison Irahellno is singing "Someone to Watch Over Me" (I think this is a very good choice but I hate her) to her I guess. I like this better than anything else she has said, or sang or done or probably will ever do again....thats alot coming from me but did I mention that I hate her?? Objective me says this was very good. The "me" that you all know hates her Randy is back to calling her "Dope" takes one to know one I guess. Ew @ Kara trying to have swagger. UM KARA?? Stop talking!
3. Matt Giraud is singing "My Funny Valentine" wow tough tough song, hope he can pull it off. Oh boy, why did it sound SOOOO good when he was singing it for Jamie Foxx. He had some problems though. Amidst the problems though I heard some flashes of brilliance. I bet you anything, this guy can NAIL this song!!. Randy agrees with me how tough a song this was. Kara, please shut the F up!!!! "You werent emotionally connected to the song" WTF?? WOW!!!! Simon thinks it was good. I thought he was going to rip him to shreds. He used "Brilliant" interesting.
4. Danny Gokey is singing "Come Rain Come Shine" Loved the bluesy way he sang this, might have been a bit safe to start but big awesome finish is what is going to be remembered. This was the best so far tonight and the best I have heard from him in awhile. Good job Danny. Ewwwww Kara is now USING the word "swagger". Someone mute this bitch.
5. Adam Lambert is singing "Feeling Good" (he gets the pimp spot alot, I mean as long as we are being fair) THE JUDGES ARE GOING WILD, THEY LOVE HIM! Brilliant!! Genius!! Artist! Magnificent!! The best in the world!! Can I have your children?!!! Now, he begins to sing. EW, here comes the tongue...so gross. I mean I dont know what to say anymore, he is standing up there like some religious icon and the worship is barfable. Has he won yet? Hey, we all march to the beat of our own drummers ( at least I do) and I will leave it at that.
I thought Rat Pack week was pretty good and it kicked disco week and Grand Ole Opry week in the ASS!! I thought the top 5 handled it very well. No Dial Idol update this week because they have been so far off the past few weeks that its pointless. VFTW is supporting Matt this week although that is also pointless. Not that Matt will go home (he might) but in all the years of VFTW existense, have they ever made a difference? NO, they havent. Danny, Adam safe, the rest at risk
Till next week...... Bye Bye Bitches Lorraine......OUT!

- The Way You Look Tonight ... very underestimated, too cool Kris... very good song choice!
- Someone To Watch Over Me... she sings good but she lacks the likeability factor!
- My Funny Valentine... I think he really gave it his all and is feeling the pressure, he's not gonna be THE American Idol but I don't want to see him go just yet.
It's Geeky Gokey time!
- Come Rain Come Shine... ugh whatever I couldn't help but notice while he was looking ultra geeky tonight that he has fangs that need to be shaved down. I'm over him... next!
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> The Awesomeness that is Adam!
- Feeling Good... Consistantly good! He definitely had swagga coming down the stair case!
Ok I predict Kris, Matt and Allison in the bottom 3 .........Unless we have a "shocker" which we haven't had one yet this year and Gokey winds up in the bottom 3 but he probably won't go home ........ I believe Matt will be going home tomorrow night!

'American Idol': iTunes points to a possible Adam-Kris finale...surprised?
A supposed glitch on iTunes last week revealed that Adam Lambert and Kris Allen are the most downloaded contestants of American Idol's season 8. More specifically, six songs by Adam crack the top 10 of an Idol-themed chart on iTunes, while three Kris performances appear on the list. It's a controversial revelation -- considering how Idol's producers try to keep sales numbers secret to avoid letting each contestant's popularity be known -- but more so because Idol's producers fans were anticipating an Adam-Danny showdown in the finals. (Calls to iTunes have not yet been returned.)
To be fair, Danny still made an appearance on the top 10 chart -- his "Endless Love" nabbed the No. 9 slot -- but is there any surprise that Kris' performances are more popular among contemporary consumers? (Even I couldn't resist downloading several of his tunes, like "To Make You Feel My Love" and "Ain't No Sunshine.") But more importantly, these iTunes stats make me wonder why the judges continue to push for an Adam-Danny final two, when Kris is supposedly a bigger draw on the charts. Isn't the goal of Idol to find a future chart-topper à la Kelly Clarkson or Chris Daughtry?
I for one find this INTERESTING! - I've been saying all along that Idol has been shoving Danny down our throats and I've alse been saying I just don't see him as amounting to much post Idol, kind of like how Taylor Hicks was a big deal on Idol but has had a mediocre AT BEST success post Idol. I could definitely see Kris outselling Danny easily.
I bet it will come down to Danny, Kris and Adam and Danny's departure will be the "SHOCKER". They always have a "shocker" show.

Fact remains that the judges shouldnt be "pushing" for anything. But they are, ala Fantasia Barrino. Quite frankly, the only thing I feel is being shoved down our throats, is the slobbering and pimping of your next American Idol, Adam Lambert.

LOL @ everything else is just a formality.
well that is true, we are just letting it all play out for the sake of a show, we all know who the real winner is EVEN if he didn't win he has won because he is the only one I am certain of who will have a career that lasts longer than a one hit wonder. AND only because he's good and deserving of it, if he wasn't I'd be the first one to be calling BS

Idol's Lil Rounds a Memphis Star
MEMPHIS, Tenn. - It was like a star touched down in Memphis Tuesday evening. American Idol contestant Lil Rounds couldn't walk far without autograph requests and flashing cameras. But she denies being anything like the stars of Hollywood.
"Oh now, come on. That term 'Hollywood' doesn't even enter my mind," Lil said.
Lil has other things on her mind. Especially her husband, three kids, and the rest of her family.
Her mother Dolline Coburn says the top seven idol contestant might be home, but she's still chasing her dreams.
"I hope that the dream she has always dreamed (comes true). She says she's going to be a star. She's a great singer and I know she's going to go far," Coburn said.
Lil spent the most time on Idol than any other Memphian. She made it into the top 36 with ease. But ever since her "Be Without You" performance, the judges never appreciated her style.
"I feel personally, the judges contradicted themselves quite a bit. Because if I did something fast, it was go slow. If I went slow, go fast. If I moved around, you're too wild. If I stood still, looks like you're uncomfortable," Lil said.
Back home in Memphis, Lil feels at home. She's ready for some barbecue with a special guest.
"I'd eat with Simon. I might throw some slaw in his face. But I'd eat with him. Just kidding," Lil said.
Lil loves to laugh and joke. And, she's laid back and humble. Qualities you don't always find in a Hollywood star. But she's not Hollywood. She's Memphis. And, she's still a star with a lot ahead of her.
"I will definitely have an R and B soul album... Throw a little jazz in there just to give you a feel of who Lil Rounds is as an artist," Lil said.
But before that, she's putting in some family time. Tonight, she hopes to have a quiet night with her husband and kids. Her extended family says they will party with their star again tomorrow.

Adam Lambert Dictionary Expands 'American Idol' Fans' VocabulariesWith more than 100 entries, the effort is a guide to all things Adam.
At this point in the competition, the judges on "American Idol" appear to be running out of superlatives to describe how much they adore Adam Lambert's performances. Perhaps they should try something like "Adamlicious" or "Lamberlove" or "Glambulocity."
Huh?
Those are just a few of the many, many Lambert-centric words in an Adam Lambert Dictionary, which was recently posted by some self-described "Teenage Glamberts" (noun used to describe a person in their teen years who is part of the Adam Lambert fan community) and contains dozens of Lambert-ized phrases employed by the superfans to describe their favorite "Idol" contestant.
In addition to offering up text-ready abbreviations for some of the songs Lambert has performed on the show — including BoW for "Black or White," RoF for "Ring of Fire" and ToMT for "Tracks of My Tears" — the dictionary contains more than 100 Lambertisms to describe every phase of Lambert worship.
Some choice selections include:
Adafect: The ultimate level of perfection, which can only be achieved by Adam Lambert. As close to godlike as any mortal can get. Uses: Adam Lambert is so adafect!
Adam and the Also-Rans: "American Idol" season eight and the "American Idol" tour.
Adamafied: To be under Adam's spell.
Adamaholics: Those who are addicted to Adam.
Adamaniacs: Millions of crazed Adam fans who just can't get enough of his amazing voice and overall sexy style.
Adamatoepoeia: Any onomatopoeia used when watching/ listening to/ reading about Adam — i.e. groaning because you can never be that sexy (argh), squealing when you see him (squee), etc.
Adamdose: An overdose on Adam. Often brought on by too many viewings of the photo thread.
Adamflies/Adamaches: The feeling of nervousness and excitement we get on Tuesdays and Wednesdays knowing that a new Adam performance/outfit/viewing is only hours away!!
Adamlaphic Shock: What happens when one goes too long without seeing Adam pictures and hearing Adam's music.
Adamnator: Kind of like the Terminator, but used in the context of Adam on "American Idol," when he's leaving the other contestants quaking in their boots from his awesome talent.
Adam's Eve: Official new name for Monday. (Meaning the day before Tuesday when we can see Adam perform again!)
Adomized: What happens to a song when Adam injects his magic and changes the atoms of the song.
Baby Glambert: A Glambert age 14 or younger.
Dark Lord Screamanova: The name Danny Gokey fans gave to Adam. The Glamberts are called the Loyal Minions of the Dark Lord Screamanova.
Fanadamsizing: Fantasizing about Adam.
Fanbert: Male fan of Adam Lambert. Also see: Manbert.
Glambacile: Those who aren't familiar with the Glambert dictionary.
Glambertize: As in fixing oneself up so that you look a fraction as good as Adam. Example: Girl please go glambertize yourself, 'cause you're looking a hot mess right now.
Glambilly: Redneck Adam fan and proud of it.
Glamdiggers: A style of pants with lace up sides usually worn in warm weather. They are designed to end mid-calf or just below the calf. More recently, the length of the pants has been shortened to just below the knee in some designs usually made with leather or Egyptian cotton.
Lambercrastination: Procrastinating on doing things non-Adam-related.
Lamberlove: That unexplainable feeling of intoxication and addiction we have for Adam.
Lamberman: A man who loves Adam, like Randy Jackson. Also see: LamberMancrush.
Lambertize: Adam makes every song his own — the song has been Lambertized.
Lambots: What we become when we are mesmerized by his awesomeness.
Lambucks: The coffee you drink in the morning thinking about Adam.
SHDDG: Smokin' Hot Drop Dead Gorgeous, a.k.a. Adam's inner and outer beauty.
WWAD: What Would Adam Do? Use this when you are about to post/ say something not so nice. Rethink it and ask yourself, "What would Adam do?"

I wasn't thrilled by last night's show. The Rat Pack theme was a pretty bad idea for this group I think. I like that genre but none of their performances seemed to capture it to me. They probably could have chosen a better mentor for this genre as well.
Kris: when I'm not watching the TV, he sounds really good. Very clean voice and on key. But I hate those weird expressions he does with his jaw. I just can't watch him.
When Danny started, I thought "good, he's just going to stand behind the mike stand and not do any more ridiculous jerking around on stage" Nope, he was just saving it. When that guy moves he looks like a marionette. He really shouldn't move.
I thought Matt did really well but I think he's the most likely to go home tonight.
I thought Allison's performance was good, but didn't feel it was anything particularly special.
Adam..... well... I have to say. Like his style or hate his style, as a "performer" he is head and shoulders above any of the others. I wasn't crazy about his interpretation, but for what he was trying to do, I think he did an incredible job of it.

Yeah, that I don't like. They are pimping the crap out of him and pulling out all the stops for his performances. Everyone else gets to just stand in the middle of the stage.
Also, how many times in the past have they told people "you're too Broadway or you're too theatrical." Then along comes Adam and suddenly that's what the judges want you to be?

Last night's show sucked except for Jamie's performace loved it.
Could have done without Taylor soul patrol Hicks and Natalie Cole.
They need to get back to doing a half hour results show.
Oh and next week Slash from GnR is the mentor... interesting
Maybe Adam can channel Axl and give us some Paradise City or Welcome to the Jungle!
