I think Victoria Beckham as a guest judge was a bad choice, she added absolutely nothing which was no surprise but still... give some Spice!

Again, I can't even imagine Idol without Simon.

Paula not being there is one thing but no Simon? ACK!

Victoria Beckham <33333333 Kara didn't annoy my as much as she usually does. Also, I AM IN LOVE WITH JUSTIN WILLIAMS (the cancer survivor)! He's my new obsession.

Victoria Beckham=stuck up snotty bitch with absolutely no personality whatsoever. They could have sat a mannequin in her spot that said "yes" and "no" and it would have worked just the same. Oh! maybe they did!
Kara=dead to me
my biggest question??? Where the hell was Ellen when we needed her??

This is a list of this years guest judges. Ellen won't join the show until after auditions....damn!! So just browsing down the list, I would put them all in the category of WGAF!!!! I mean is there anything wrong with 3 people (Simon, Kara and Randy) doing the judging alone?

Victoria Beckham
Mary J. Blige
Kristin Chenoweth
Neil Patrick Harris
Joe Jonas
Avril Lavigne
Katy Perry
Shania Twain

Well I am ok with the guest judging provided they provide some input/feedback other than just agreeing with whatever Simon says. Have a mind of your own you know...is that asking too much from a guest judge. American Idol: Season 9 767614

Jake Records Extends Record Deal Offer To American Idol Sensation General Larry Platt

The Las Vegas based record label offers to record and release song made famous on American Idol's Atlanta auditions episode this week.
Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) January 18, 2010 -- Jake Records CEO Scott Thomas today confirmed the label has extended a recording contract to General Larry Platt, who was featured on the January 13th episode of American Idol on Fox. Platt, who closed the episode, stole the show when he performed his original song "Pants On The Ground," an energetic tune aimed at today's youth. As the episode closed, American Idol judge Randy Jackson was shown dancing and singing along with Platt, who clearly had a positive impact on all of the people in the audition room that day.
Platt, who may appear at first glance to have been a novelty for the show, or someone the judge's let in for a quick laugh, is actually an American civil rights hero. Platt was very active in the Civil Rights Movement as a teen in Georgia, and was recognized by the state legislature in 2001, having proclaimed September 4th, 2001 "Larry Platt Day." On that special day, the Georgia General Assembly declared that "For the past 40 years, Larry Platt has given of himself in service to the people of the City of Atlanta, the State of Georgia, and the nation...Larry Platt merits the highest recognition for his many valuable contributions to the Civil Rights Movement and his dedication to the struggle for equality and human rights." Mr. Platt, who is also very vocal and active in local Atlanta politics, is regarded by many as a community hero.
"General Larry Platt has an energy about him that is infectious," said Jake Records CEO Scott Thomas. "We'd love to work with Mr. Platt to generate some exposure for his original song, but also the causes that he holds near and dear to him," he added.
Since his Idol appearance, the song (via video clips) has become an Internet smash hit, generating more than one million YouTube views, and spawning the Late Night With Jimmy Fallon host Jimmy Fallon to cover the song, in his spot-on Neil Young impersonation, spawning millions more impressions for the song.
The terms of the proposed deal were not disclosed.
About Jake Records:
Jake Records is an independent record label founded to bring great music to the world. Headquartered in Las Vegas, NV the label boasts an impressive catalog of artists including multi-platinum selling Hip Hop legends Digital Underground, Westside Bugg, and More. Jake Records music is distributed digitally by IRIS Distribution.
